Mrs. Raluca L. Hanea is the founding member of the firm.
Immediately after graduating from law school in Romania, Mrs. Hanea immigrated to the United States through the US Diversity Visa program. As a young college graduate, she started a new life from zero on a different continent. Today, she uses this experience to help her clients with the appropriate legal solutions and practical ways to adjust to a new life because she understands the challenges and struggles they face in their journey.
Mrs. Hanea has a Juris Doctorate (2009) from the University of Georgia (JD) and a European civil law Bachelor of Law degree (LLB)(1997).
Mrs. Hanea established Hanea Law Firm in 2011. Over the years, her practice expanded and she gained significant experience in practicing immigration law, civil litigation (contract disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, probate litigation, property disputes), estate planning and business law (business formation and federal compliance issues).
Mrs. Hanea represents clients in front of US Immigration and Citizenship Services, the US Northern District Court, Georgia Appellate Court, and all of Georgia courts (Magistrate, State, Superior, Probate and Recorders).
Dedicated to helping people, and passionate about her work, attorney Hanea has always believed in giving back to the community. After volunteering with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society in Gwinnett (GLA) for nine months after graduation from law school, she has continued to collaborate with their office as a pro-bono attorney. Starting 2022, Mrs. Hanea is also working as an appointed criminal defense attorney for indigent clients accused of misdemeanors.
She lives with her husband and their three children in an Atlanta suburb and credits her success and inspiration in all she does to her family. In her spare time she loves reading, painting, journaling and spending time in nature.
Mrs. Hanea’s favorite quote is: “Be yourself <the change> you want to see in the world.”
